Uncle Lightfoot Flip That Switch is a story about a modern day Creek Indian who is a retired teacher. He uses games and activities to help a child, Michael, overcome his fear of the dark. The story also includes a young Creek Indian girl, Elizabeth, who plays some of the games with Michael. Also, because Elizabeth is blind, she has skills that she teaches Michael, such as how to get around better in the dark without stumbling. Of course, Uncle Lightfoot's dog, Lady, and also Michael's parents and older brother also play the games.
